Don't Stop Believing
The latest TV spot to come out of Albion and I am pretty proud to have been a part of it. Amazing director Kim at Academy did a spectacular job with lots of constraints and not to mention people who couldn't even clap in time! I loved casting for this shoot. Saw some absolutely brilliant singers and performers and some equally as terrible and I still can't rid my memory of a 50+ vocally challenged auditionee in a cheerleading outfit. So pleased with the end result, it was definitely worth all the hard work. Enjoy.

Birdies get revenge
Cours Toujours. A short and sweet film. Beautiful animation and soundtrack to match. Particularly like taking a scooter into the lions mouth. Enjoy.
Made for fun by Elise Garcette and Oliver Barre.

Play
Johnny Kelly has directed this nice little film to promote YouTube Play ("a collaborative project between YouTube and the Guggenheim Foundation that seeks to showcase the very best creative videos from around the world") Simple and creative this film hits all the nails.

Lyrics + Graphic Design = Heaven?
Music Philosphy is the best project ever. (Or at least since my grade six recreation of a 14th century Japanese village using only paper.)

I'm Here
Just in case I'm not the last person to this party, I thought I'd share. Spike Jonze's "robot love story" for Absolute Vodka is now playing at your local web browser. Bring kleenex.

FANTASTIC Fantastic Mr Fox
I can't recommend this film enough. I watched it a while ago now but it doesn't tire. Charm spills from the stop frame animation and the characters are so captivating. I give it 5 stars.

Het Klokhuis
Love the props in these lovely stop motion title sequences for Dutch science show "Het Klokhuis" (The Apple Core). They were made just up the road from me at Nexus and I managed to sneak a peak at the models on a visit to the studios last year.

Janes Abroad
I'm a sucker for a good pun.
I'm off to Paris in a week for an impromptu sojourn with le garçon, and I've started to cobble together my can't-leave-home-withouts because I love packing (and planning packing) almost as much as I love traveling.
I've made the executive decision to bring ol' Rassy (my dad's 35 mm SLR that I've claimed as my own and named after Neil Young's mother) even though her light meter is busted and she takes up a quarter of my very small suitcase, because she takes the.coolest.pictures.ever.
The rest of my suitcase will be reserved for all the dream outfits I put together for myself on Polyvore. If you've never heard of Polyvore before, you're welcome, in advance, for wasting so much of your future time.

Gromit and Wallace
I am a big big fan of this terrible twosome and after catching the end of The Curse of the Ware Rabbit again over the weekend I remembered these ads for Harvey Nichols. The excellent craftsmanship is left to shine with the simple photography style. It got me thinking about when is it okay for your favourite characters to sell themselves to advertising? These two have also been known to flaunt themselves in an ad for PG Tips, M&S and npower which went down the wrong way with me. There seems to be a fine, somewhat unwritten, line. Other sellouts up for debate include Paddington Bear for Marmite (but surely he would NEVER stray from his beloved Marmalade?) and Postman Pat for Specsavers which, in my opinion, is pure pure genius! See for yourselves...
Creative Circle
A charming and beautifully executed film from Creative Circle. How many ads are featured? Answers on a postcard please.

Ugly Furniture!
Nothing says Friday to me like watching a video that makes you feel superior about your sense of style.
Bon weekend!
