I can't recommend this film enough. I watched it a while ago now but it doesn't tire. Charm spills from the stop frame animation and the characters are so captivating. I give it 5 stars.

I give it 0 stars. It has been very annoyingly and unsubtly americanized. A character called Kristophason? Or however you'd spell it (I don't know I'm not Jewish american or german american or whatever). The plot is more about the jealousies between the child fox and his cousin who doesn't even exist in the original book. Plus all that rubbish with the estate agent badger at the beginning. I bought this movie on the strength of your recommendation and I wish I could take it back!! Go read Roald Dahl's amazing classic children's book instead and avoid this bastardized film.
